Partial discharge detection
Partial (partial) discharge test of various power equipment in operation
Partial discharge (PD) is an important evaluation basis for the internal insulation damage of power equipment in operation.
When the field strength generated by the applied voltage in the electrical equipment is sufficient to discharge the insulating part of the area, but no fixed discharge channel is formed in the discharge area, this discharge phenomenon is called partial discharge.
When partial discharge of the insulation occurs, it will affect the insulation life. Each discharge, the impact of high-energy electrons or accelerated electrons, especially long-term partial discharge, will cause various forms of physical effects and chemical reactions. For example, when charged particles hit the outer wall of the bubble, the chemical bonds of the insulation may be interrupted and cracking occurs, destroying the molecular structure of the insulation, causing the insulation to deteriorate and accelerating the insulation damage.process.
Such a phenomenon will cause damage to the life of power equipment, damage to power equipment, and affect the safety of electricity consumption.
